Cosgrove Hall Films
One of Europe’s biggest animation companies
Cosgrove Hall Films is Europe’s largest and most prolific animation company and one of only a few studios in the world with the ability to produce all three types of animation (drawn / 2D, stop-motion puppet and CGI) under one roof.
Created in 1976 by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall, Cosgrove Hall has grown to become one of the world’s premier animation studios, producing countless hours of animation each year.
Sales to over 150 countries bears testament to the worldwide appeal of Cosgrove Hall’s productions, as well as accolades of national and international prizes including six BAFTAs, two International Emmys plus countless other awards and nominations.
Cosgrove Hall Films is housed in modern 25,000 sq ft custom-built studios, complete with the latest lighting and camera facilities, workshops for puppet construction, set-building areas, and even a special wardrobe department where all the puppet stars are dressed.
In 2006 Cosgrove Hall became the UK's leading production house for Toon Boom Harmony. As a major end user of this exciting software, Cosgrove Hall brings drawn animation fully back into its Manchester studios, and confirms the company's commitment to remain a major producer of 2D drawn animation within the United Kingdom.
